Grey-cast brake discs are cast at the foundry in Tuttlingen. Different alloys can be selected for the grey cast depending on the requirements placed on the brake disc and the customer’s specifications.

At the facility in Neuhausen ob Eck, grey-cast brake discs and composite brake disks are machined and manufactured into ready-to-install components. This involves a highly complex multi-stage production chain that covers the entire value chain at SHW, including the in-house aluminium casting foundry.
